No offense, but I'll stay with "8 minute stretch". It shows you a more elaborate stretching routine, although this vid is good as well.

P90X stretch X is the ONLY flexibility workout! Oh and you shouldnt do static stretching before a workout, it decreases power output

that second part is important! I only stretch on non-lifting days - why weaken your muscles before placing a major strain on them? Be active EVERY day, just balance what exactly you're doing wisely! :)

I used to do martial arts. I've kept some of the stretches in my routine. I learned the HARD way over the years to stretch AFTER I lift. It's actually a BAD idea to stretch out and then lift weights. Better to do some cardio to get the heartrate up followed up by light warm ups for whatever movement ya do. I always stretch now after the weight sessions. Much better results I find. It helps get rid of lactic acid. Plus I'm much more warmed up. Stretching out cold muscles is risky indeed.

Nice job on the video. Actually I think there are three critial factors in seeing safe, consistant gains in flexibility and most routines only address one, two at the most. The three are proper technique, relaxation and the ability to measure progress. This is why we invented the Proflex Stretching Machine

Many of the stretches in these videos are damaging and are actually outdated training misinformation. The hamstrings for example cannot be stretched in a standing position...and especially lifting the toe and pulling while standing can be very damaging to achilles and sloeus and hamstring etc. Please see podiatric surgeon and lower body expert Dr. Steven D. Stark's book, "The Stark Reality of Stretching" for accurate and scientifically backed proper stretching techniques.
