| one quick question when you first start off with the tap on the 12th fret, is your finger holding down the 8th fret? I know when you let go with the 12th fret your finger is off of the 8th fret, but what about when you put your finger on? |

| i had the same problem, its just a matter of hitting it as hard as you can, but you really need to turn the vol. up if ur playing it on electric, i play this on my acoustic sometimes aswell, but the vol. certainly has to be up to increase the sound it will make. |
