Well, I lived in Houston for about 10 years, and he was considered an eccentric, a laughingstock. I was VERY surprised to find him still in politics, much less running for president. Yeah, I guess slaves were private property. :) But I support ALL of our Constitution, being a liberal (progressive, whatever), I don't pick and choose. He does.

I like what John Edwards says in his speeches. He sounds like a working class hero. However, he is not nearly as progressive as Kucinich and Gravel. They are absolutely the best candidates. However, they are marginalized by the mainstream media because they do not support corporate welfare, and the corporations control the media. Maybe he will be good, I don't know, but Kucinich and Gravel are the most progressive hands down.

as a progressive i disagree especially as someone who has met Dennis Kucinich and supported him. Kucinich is more liberal yet less realistic both agenda wise, direction wise and candidate wise. Gravel, I was more open 2 him than he was willing 2 explain his pos. or do nething more than yell about others. If he had taken a diff. approach perhaps he would have gained more support and been here. He did not.

I'm also saying that as someone who well before media hopped onto the elections had a great opportunity of listening individually to each Democratic candidate speak completely uncensored and with equal time on seperate days. John Edwards certainly goes after the corporations hard enough for me as a progressive.

One of the mormon churches main teachings is that everyone must have a chance to have their temple work done, and that (unfortunately) includes evil dictators. However, saying that because of this that mormons support Nazi-ism is completely and utterly pathetic.
Members of the church who are found to be part of certain orginazations (including the Nazi party) are immediately excomunicated from the church, for nothing but being affiliated with those types of people.
