LOL the Batman is originally related to crime solving rather than fancy over the top superhero action. That is why if you read the original comic books about the dark knight u will notice that Batman is alot more of a detective than a superhero.

Oldest excuse in the book to defend The Dark Knight's lack of action and only pathetic smartasses bring that up. The only thing Nolan did to Batman is make him the most powerless and pathetic superhero I've ever seen in film and the old comics have nothing to do with that, Nolan just turn Batman into a wannabe artsy crime saga with the excuse that he wanted a more "realistic" approach, truth is, he's just ashamed of doing a superhero blockbuster so he wants to have his cake and eat it too.
