| When someone says which country has the toughest people in the world? it means who's countries average citizens are the toughest not which country has the biggest and most advanced army. We in america have the biggest army but were definitely not the toughest ppl on the planet. | well... to settle this down, the Philippine govt. must show its sovereignty and power. use its power to quell this rebellion once and for all or force them to the negotiation table give them an alternative agreement. however, i won't see this happening since the govt. itself is not even serious in its tasks. i think it would be impossible for things to settle down. |

| the other alternative is to let the muslims win. theoretically, conflicts will cease as long as grudges in both sides will cease and also as their prides. if the muslims indeed are true to their words, then we will expect lesser conflicts. if not, we would expect things to be similar to israel and palestine. |

Once again which country has the toughest everyday citizens is completely different from which country has the biggest or most technologically advanced army. | also I saw a show on T.V. called "shootout" and it documented a battle where a small specially trained filpino unit called the philippine scouts were kicking japs asses killing them left and right this 1 filipino killed like 10 japs including 2 with a knife. Filpinos are tough and If you don't know that then you just don't know much about them and their culture. Japan had a much bigger and more advanced army thats why they were able to take over most of Asia |

| Let me try and explain this another way. Gangs in Jamaica are WAY more violent than gangs in America you can look it up yourself it's a fact. Why are gangs in Jamaica more violent then ones in the U.S.? it's because Jamaica is a poor violent country and it's people are used to a level of violence that would shock U.S. citizens. Theres no other possible explanation for why they are more violent than their counterparts in the U.S. |
