My God. Only in America can you be friends with a terrorist and have a chance to hold the highest office there is. This is just one reason he is unelectable. Throw in the fact that he is the most liberal person in the Senate and he sat in the pews for 20 years listening to Rev. Wright spew his anti-American garbage, and I am shocked that this guy even has a career in politics let alone a possibility to be President.

That's where your judgment comes in...are they or aren't they- this can be applied to any politican from any era. Even if they have truly broken ties, were they substantially influenced by that person - enough that past friendships will guide future decisions?
Someone, especially politicans, will distance one day and be "best friends" the next. It depends on the benefits involved (good press vs bad press). McCain has always been on Bush's side. Obama has always been a radical Democrat. Not new!

This whole show was framed as the media elite trying to silence the truth teller (Elizabeth). Whoopi is a McCain supporter and instead of supplying a reasonable argument against what Elizabeth is saying she just tries to shut her up. The reality is that Ayers DOES NOT HAVE A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP with Obama. That is fact #1. Fact #2 is that Ayers was a civil rights activist who fought the Vietnam War and racism and discrimination. Some thought violence was necessary to change things.

After viewing this, I have to donate to Senator Obama's campaign. Elizabeth is so hell bent on repeating Shawn Hanahattery, she is not listening. This is very, very, very, scary because she is not the only one. I use to think she was intelligent because she was a free thinker capable of independent thought.
