I won't accept that apology because I think none should be forthcoming. When I was young I had a horsepower fetish like everyone of my peers. Yet as I grew older I began to see the massive cost in lives and money that society pays for this cultural obsession. Not in Nascar per se (Nascar is just an ad) but on the roads of the world. America for example has 42,000 deaths a year. Can you imagine terrorists killing 42,000 people a year and the horror that would produce?

Also, I know this is off-topic but sad about Mitch Hedberg, I was a big fan of his also. In addition, why are people positive banging me. I mean I come into your living room and start my liberal doom and gloom bitching about the economy and unsustainability and I get positive banged? Nascar was among the first auto racing to incorporate aerodynamics, and to understand the principles of wind resistance, down force, drafting and all the terms that are common these days. Get some respect. Going in a circle gets to be pretty hard with that many cars around you and at the speeds that they go. Not anybody can do it. A lot of guys have come from other forms of racing and flopped in NASCAR, some nascar drivers have gone to other racing leagues and done good.

Ok fine.. Let me correct my statement. Let's get rid of ALL and put in MOST. It's not just NASCAR fans who like NASCAR. It's not just F1 fans who like F1. It's not just V8 Supercar fans who like V8 Supercar.. I know the thought of liking more than one thing is impossible for you to imagine. But there are other fans out in the world who do take interest into NASCAR, not laugh at it as you so claim.
