Today's newspaper (11-29-08) reports the death of Alan Bonner, one-half of the Bonner-Gordon duo that wrote so many of the great Turtles songs, died of cancer at age 64. Damn!!! Thanks for everything, Alan... you will be missed!!

The Byrds were the original artists,in fact Roger Mcguinn wrote it .The the song wasn't released on an album until the Preflyte album which came out long after the classic Byrds lineup.
