the core weakness ... ( 1 month ago by Sefveron)
the core weakness of the GTR series has always been its weight , the r35 was meant to be a car that could be blindingly fast as well as have 4 comfy seats, a big boot and all the other comforts of a big car, the r35 v-spec will still be the same size but it will weigh significantly less, with most luxuries stripped and it will also have more horse power but not much more, and the body shape of the r35 is highly aerodynamic, but if you simply dont like the "look" of it then too bad i guess

I guess, I am just really picky about cars, I love the R31 and R32 when they were really just daily drivers and nightly racers. Let's not get wrapped up in luxury car scene and stuff it with five hundred horsepower. I think they were right on the money with a solid 215 to 250 horsepower with the R31's and the Third generation R32'S I like them simple, clean, and mean. I think the R35 spits in that face of that, it just is not a true Skyline to me. I am probally taking it too personally though.

of course its not a skyline its a GTR, all gtr's were monsters that devoured the competition, and were technically far different and far superior to regular skylines, GTR's are as different to skylines as evos are to lancers

I thought I already said the R32 the generation was an awsome car, even the R33 can be an awsome car. The R34 and R35 have been proof that Nissan makes amazing cars and eventualy ruins them further on in production. I just think the R31,R32, and at times the R33 are amazing cars. The R34 and R35 are just too big of cars with oversized engines. Just like what Mitsubishi did with the EVO's the first five were amazing, the newest five will never be as good the first five.

dude the r34 and r35 are the best of the bunch and the r34 has the same engine as the r32, i think your just talking out your ass now

Tell you what you have good point for those like very powerful cars and I feel I very suport the clean and simple cars. Both styles are exsistent and will be until the end of the auto eara. Yes, at the end of my last comment, I should spoke that I did not really like the bulky look of the R34, the engine is gold though. We both enjoy what we enjoy, it's as simple as that.
so your not really ... ( 3 weeks ago by Sefveron)
so your not really worried about performance at all, and are just moaning about how it looks? and how the later model gtrs are a heavy big looking car while the older r31 and r32 were a simple looking car? well i guess i can agree with that statement, since im considering getting an r32 gtr, i always did like how it was simplistic looking car

I do worry about performance, I just think you can have great performance and still have a very simple and clean car. That is why I like the R31 and R32, it's yet effective.

yeah but, it would take a hell of alot of money and alot of time to make an r32 have anywhere near the performance of the r35 and even then it still wouldnt be able to handle as well in bad weather conditions , not even good weather conditions either...
I am not trying to ... ( 3 weeks ago by metalandanimeyes)
I am not trying to have the most powerful car just a solid reliable car, besides I all depends on your driving style, you could have a stock 323dx and beat a R34 if you know how to drive your car. It's good to have a solid car but your skills must always be better then your car.
see now i dont even ... ( 3 weeks ago by Sefveron)
see now i dont even know what your trying to argue anymore, the r35 is the best for performance, the r32 was a simple looking car and it started the godzilla legend and you simply dont like the look of the new gtr i dont think theres anything else to talk about

LOL. What's an R35? Last time I checked it was officially called the GTR. And the Skyline was huge before the R32 bra. PCG10's started the racing heritage.
first atessa gtr ... ( 3 weeks ago by Sefveron)
first atessa gtr r32, second gtr r33, third gtr r34, see a pattern? r35 is a shortened reference to the new cars Factory model number and the PCG10's may have started the racing line of cars, but the r32 is what made it a legend, besides everyone calls it a R35 only wankers living in the usa think its cool to say "I drive a 2008 Nissan GTR" or "Check out my bitchin nineteen nighty nine Nissan Skyline GTR! BEECH!, RESPECT RESPECT!"

The GTR is very ... ( 3 days ago by uncabronusername)
The GTR is very fasr straight from the factory and well ...reliable (yes I know about some of their tranny problems but everything else is gold) in order to get a r32 to be as fast as the GT-R you would make it very unreliable in the process, also the GT-R's never were cheap cars (dating back to the hakosuka GTR) in the end these series are most known for being blisteringly fast but practical as well, like the newer one, capable of going against vs the ZR1, but with back seats and onther stuff.
The r35 is best for ... ( 3 days ago by uncabronusername)
The r35 is best for straight from the factory performance, tunning is supposedly stupidly complicated as said from some Japanese tunners, only the richer ones have been able to tweak it, for all out performance however I see the earlier series as somewhat superior since they are much simpler.
the r35 has been ... ( 3 days ago by Sefveron)
the r35 has been out for how long?the rb series gtr's have been out for...well 20 years now,and since the first GTR had the rb26 and the rest followed with the same engine theyve had alot of time to develope it,and do you know what it takes to get an older gtr to surpass an r35?it takes a hell of alot of money, time and tuning. At the very first super lap in australia, a dead stock r35 gtr got a better time then the winner of the clubsprint modified cars category, and that had tons of old gtrs!
i wouldnt say it ... ( 1 day ago by 1991TalonTSI)
i wouldnt say it capable of going aganist the zr1, tho for horsepower to weight ratio, if they made the gtr with more hp the zr1 wouldnt stand a chance
Well considering: ... ( 1 day ago by uncabronusername)
Well considering: the 100 hp difference or so in favor of the Corvette, their times at the Nurburgring which are a few seconds apart, and all of the high speed areas like those around Schwedenkreuz and Galgenkopf which are really long straights, the only possible explanation is that it's keeping up with the zr1 around the turns, plus being awd, accelerating is way easier with times supposedly around 3.1 for the gt-r, being driven by pros I think that for "normal" people it just comes down skill.
One of the tunning ... ( 1 day ago by uncabronusername)
One of the tunning houses boss from Japan (Mine's) said that this gtr is just way more complicated and expensive, the transmission alone is said to be $15000 and instead or working or getting repairs on it nissan says to just get another one, working with the dsg and the other electronic things(a lot) won't be possible for all but the bigger tunning houses, and this guy's words not mine are that this version does not have as much potential one basically had to re-engineer the car....makes sense
The Handling of the ... ( 1 day ago by Sefveron)
The Handling of the standard r35 gtr far exceeds the previous generations by a long shot,Mark Berry of the hi octane r32gtr (fastest track gtr in australia, won numerous races)said himself that in the corner it far surpasses their r32gtr, and thats saying something!,in the new zealand dunlop targa rally a dead stock r35 gtr came 5th outright! and the V-Spec variant isnt even out yet, and as for tuning Haltech in australia already have an ecu out for it, which gets rid of the gps speed limiter
