More likely to be about the devil.;) The majority of analysts think its at least about someone alienated by society, a hate figure, and the song is from their point of view, and I'd go along with that probably, have a listen with that in mind.;)

What you say makes a lot more sense. I guess the line 'Till I finally died which started the whole world living' may have given them the idea. But the rest of the song doesn't seem to fit with Jesus so i am guessing your right!

Why all this fuss about the words? its a brilliant song, everyone will have their own interpretation about what it may mean. However, its a song written by a very young band and its so haunting and beautiful and I am extremely grateful to the Bee Gees for this stunning song.
