The government of Canada is trying to add a second levy for recordable media, this time including iPods. They want us to give them $75 extra per iPod to "cover" the music theft that some people engage in, even if you're doing nothing wrong!

Well I am not Canadian...but an idea like that is just radiculous. I hope things work out and the tax isn't added on.
I also wanted to just add one more thing...people like titties100 down there is what gives Americans a bad name. If she grew up and learned how to spell maybe she would be a little more adult and wouldn't open her mouth before thinking. Try and be a little more intelligent honey.

Had my Zen V over a year had it fall on the ground while riding my scooter, I stopped, went back and it was still on, the Zen V's are tough, also a while back, I worked at an FYE and we had more broken Zunes come back than anything else.

The levy was killed today by the Federal Court Of Appeal. The Retail Council of Canada issued a press release to Newswire about it.

Thanks so much for replying, O groovy one! I'm definitely going to have to find some. I'll have to go to Canada just to buy some and stock up, like my family did on a trip down South when we bought cases and cases of Peach Nehi because they don't have it in my little chunk of America. Oh well, it makes it more of a treat, I guess. :)

In Nevada we have to pay $10 tax for the Shuffle $17 for the Nano $20 for the Classic and $30 for the Touch but we only need to pay $10 tax for all the iPods at the Apple store
