I've given very good answers and reasons why Hadith would be ignored, this isn't through convenience, but is a straight forward fact. The basis of the religion is the Quran, and when both Quran and Muhammed himself discount hadith, then why are you referring to them? Its illogical. Just think, any

The rules of war are about killing, and people like you always wonder why the Quran define's a certain way to kill an enemy combatant too. Muslims, don't (or shouldn't) get 'a kick' out of killing an oponent in this way. The main reason why we are told to slaughter like this ANY living creature
whether in combat or to eat, is because, this is believed to be a more harmless merciful style of killing i.e Halal/Kosher killing.
