Even though the Beatles and the Beach Boys were formed around the same time, like Bostick410 said, the Beach Boys influenced the Beatles' recording techniques. If I'm not mistaken, it was Frank Zappa who influenced Sgt Peppers.

You can make people look like everyone you want, haven't you heard there is this little thing they can do called plastic surgeon? And that that operation doesn't bring your eyes closer together? And why did the Beatles stop performing live after september 11th 1966, Paul's supposedly date of death? Maybe because the new Paul was shit live, and couldn't even play left handed yet, let alone sing with Paul's voice? Paul before sgt peppers sounds different too you know.

There are lost of people who are like that, there have been tons and tons of musicians who all have those qualifications. But I rest my case on this page, since I see other Beatle-lovers don't like controversy. Something all the Beatles themselves DID like.

yeah they did love to stir shit up those boys. i am a massive fan of the beatles, and i don't think the rumour is true, but i have to admit i'm not 100%. but i do think john in particular found the rumour quite funny, he's admitted to putting a few references into beatles songs since the rumour started, just to get people talking, and i bet you anything he put those early references in in the first place to start the rumour without the other three noticing. gotta love john.
