... No, Evangelion has nothing to do with Religion, and as to "culture", careful how you use the term as it's rather specific.
It is a critcism of the Otaku, of their lifestyle, and of the Japanese tendency to seek conformity over individuality. It is a socio-political statement, to be sure, but do not make out to be something it was not.

You're dumb. It's not the same as the first series. Here is a little quote from Gainax official site. "The first three movies will be an alternate retelling of the TV series, featuring new scenes, settings, backgrounds, characters, and newly available 3D CG technology, and the fourth film will present a completely new conclusion to the story. Another stated intention of this series is for it to be much more understandable and accessible to non-fans than the original TV series and movies were."

No shit it's a fucking rebuild. You've just been repeating it for the pass three comment. It doesn't mean it has to be exactly the same as the first series. Besides, I think Gainax "The company would is making it" is more right than you. Kaworu is going to make his appearance in the next movie, so it's already different.

And even if Anno did it himself, it's not going to be close to the original. He's planning to have an alternative story telling and new story, conclusion and everything. And now, I'm done talking with you. I'll only get more annoyed with your "It's a Rebuild" or Rebuild of the original". You just keep your repeatitive opinion to yourself.

That's impossible, the Manga is not canon, anything held in there that isn't exactly as the Anime portrayed it isn't true, especially since it's clear Sadamoto ALTERED the characters personalities.

It can't be, the story is taking an alternate path, new evas, new character, new EVENTS, even Anno's own statement shows he's only doing this to make the message more clear, not to "improve" anything, in order to do that he would need to portray the entire series and build upon it, which he's not doing (no time), nor plans to because he and much the production crew were satisfied with it.
It is not canon, at the most, it is its own canon set in a different reality as suggested for the manga.

The manga is a different interpretation of the series through Sadamoto's eyes. It's an alternate universe. Plus, it started before the anime. It isn't like DBZ or Rurouni Kenshin, with a lot of needless adaptation decay inserted by studio writers. The anime was directed by one of the creators, the manga was written by the other creator. It's two interpretations of the same story.
