I hate to mention his name...but brett favre is known as one of the best quarterbacks ever, right? as well as walter as one of the best leading rushers ever. Well brett favre also has the most interceptions of any quarterback because he's played for so long. This is the same for walter..he's played so many downs that it seems that he had fumbled a lot when you look at the overall numbers

When I say walter fumbled alot, I don't mean his overall career fumbles, I mean how many times he fumbled a season. Walter always got the average number of carries for a runner which was around 300-340 a year. But he fumbled around 8 - 11 times a year. Which is way more than most backs, most backs in the nfl then and now only fumble 3 times a year.

really? i thought the all time leading rusher must be considered in the talk about the greatest back. walter peyton was the best, emmitt smith the second, barry sanders the third. plus, emmitt smith was always on the field, he never had to go out on the goal line or anything. but not sanders. emmitt played with a broken arm and had 100+ yards for 2 tds that game. emmitt smith was a tough back. barry wasnt. emmitt smith should get more credit for what he did in his carreer.

sanders didnt have the heart, period. 10 years is nothing, a real back, a real tough back can play for about 15 years. sanders wasnt tough, even his own head coach said that sanders quit. the guy could still play, but he retired, how do you call that? i call that a quitter. read his biography, and read emmitt's. sanders is way too overated, so what is o-line sucked? fucking deal with it and stop whining. stop making up excuses, emmitt and payton had the heart, not sanders.
