I know too many of those highways..they're scars in my mind.."the mornin' after blues from my head down to my shoes"..I know those as well as the ribbons of asphalt I stood beside all too often..sometimes not knowing where I'd been or where I was going..I was "searching through the fragments of my dream shattered sleep"..it's like he sings his songs to you personally..and you wish they'd go on forever..thanks Gord for a lifetime of excellence in music and lyrics..

Been a lifelong Lightfoot fan and finally went to see him on his 2008 tour. Wish I hadn't - the voice is gone and it was a little sad to see.

I have been through there many a time when I used to work on Taft Rd. about 20 years ago.
