he gets plenty of recognition,1 of the most recognised footballers in british history(rightly so).beckembaur captained bayern and germany at 18, pele won a world cup at 17, gerd muller another 1 club man who has won shitloads, adams captained arsenal at 20 & never left, cruyff won the euro cup virtually on his own(v inter)and your boy rooney was englands best at euro 2004(in short not the 1st person to do it at a young age,not the first succesful 1 club man and certainly not the most talented)

He made his debut for our club in 1991, before the Premiership had started. He's played in every single season of the Premiership, usually winning it.

you have to play for man u to be a legend? most real united fans know that he has been kept at united for purely nostalgia purposes for a few years now, not hard to win things at united, they would have won stuff without him. same can be said for raul- been shit for about 5 years

He hasn't been kept for nostalgia reasons for a "few years". This season he hasn't been as good, but out of 10 wins, he's contributed majorly to 9. That's more then any other footballer. 2006/07 season he was class, in PFA team of the year. Maybe you didn't notice that???

Fact is: Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes are more legendary than any other footballers currently playing in the Premiership, by a long way, something you already know.

The very fact that you were contesting how good Giggs is/was. I resent people saying he's only kept for nostalgic reasons, he hasn't been as good recently - but that's still bullshit.
People don't recognise how remarkable a career he's had. They recognise he's a legend, but they don't understand how difficult it is to play at the top level at a club as big as United for 17 years.
