I attended the recent funeral on a MD EMT killed in the crash of MSP Trooper 2. As I was arriving at the funeral I was appalled and disgusted at the ignorance of the a**holes from Westboro Church protesting and holding signs saying that God made the helicopter crash. I was immediately uplifted by the wonderful members of the Patriot Guard Riders who walked directly in front of them and blocked everyone's view of their ignorance. THANK YOU and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

I personally am not a religious person what so ever. But the Westboro Church is not only a disgrace to those religious folk in our great country, but to Humanity. Thank you PGR members for upholding whats right. And whats right is a proper military burial for those fallen soldiers. Carry on gentlemen your all damn fine humans.

I may not agree with the War, but Bless you Patriot Guard. I won't openly advocate violence against Westboro Baptist Church but you know..... if you could give them a shot to the nuts for me. No matter what you believe about the war you should always honor someone who died thinking they were protecting us. Because in their mind, they were and we should honor the thought. As a Ride Captain for the PGR, I can say without doubt that we do not do what we do because we are for or against the war. We don't do it to get our picture in the paper. We don't even really do it because of the protesters. We do it because somewhere, sometime someone made a tremendous sacrifice in our name. What we do is say "thank you." So, thank you to Spc Bobby West and all the others who put themselves in harms way in my name.
