My take on The Matrix is this.That if you follow the mainstream press regarding the news then you will lead to a path of a perceived truth.You don't really get the full and correct facts to establish the real truth,which involves a bit more research.Thats if,of course,you are not spending that 'research time'watching reality tv,obsessing over celebs and watching Eastenders.

As a researcher in psychology, I know a lot about brainwashing. Diverting people's attention to worrying about terrorists or bird-flu instead of dealing with millions that work 50+ hours a week yet they don't have enough to pay for health care and for C-grade living is outrageous. So in that way I agree with a guy, and the proof I need is only to see % of coverage that's given to pseudo problems like terrorism and bird-flu vs. poverty or near-poverty that affects millions of Americans.
