for all the people that say this is stupid.. i doubt you can ever think of an idea that is this original or make something capable of going 75" in just 5 seconds so before you start calling everyone dumb hicks keep in mind they are in fact in san francisco and keep in mind that you don't know how to make any of this and probably have never even thought of something as original as this or have the initiative to actually follow through with it..

well that's interesting i assumed things made to cut stuff going fast could end badly but it is completly different from drag racing other then the fact that is a race heh well i hope to see more action :D

Even though this video seems Tame.. Unguided CO2 missles, Homemade rocket engines and homemade JET engines are the norm. The most dangerous racer used a real 12 gauge shotgun mounted to a roller skate
Believe me I've done this event three times. We play for keeps in San Francisco.
Wanna beat the record.... Well it's .7 seconds for 75 feet at 125 mph. That would be pretty hard for a top fuel dragster to beat actually...

bad camerawork. Clean your lens!! Choose your best lighting angle. Move in closer to get better detail. Show the power tool's setup, not just a lump of plastic. Waste of time to watch.

Perhaps you could film the next event for us. My team members are often very busy when competing at these races. By the way the smuge on the lens was caused by a greesy finger and it was not visible in the cameras view finder we did notice it later.
