Joseph Wright Centre, Derby - Time-lapse construction film

Uploaded by: comedyhunter
Video Description:
This is a time-lapse film I created using 21,680 screen grabs from a web cam that was pointed at the construction site of the Joseph Wright Centre.
Filmed over one year! You can see just how much work goes into putting up a modern building like this. There is so much ground work to do on something like this. The Joseph Wright Centre is situated on the corner of St Alkmunds Way and Chapel Street, the £12m facility is part of Derby College's
estates plan following the merger of Mackworth, Broomfield and Wilmorton Colleges. I hope you like this unique film following the construction of one of Derby's iconic modern structures. Personally I like this building and also the new Friar Gate Studios building on Ford Street. I also have a fad
ing Then and now photograph of the Joseph Wright Centre construction site : http://www.derbyphotos.co.uk/thenandnow/page16.htm For more information on the City of Derby please visit my website : http://www.derbyphotos.co.uk The images were captured between 7th May 2004 and 10th May 2005 every 10 m
inutues between the hours of 8am and 7pm approx. Andy

no, what you do is you take photographs at diferent intervals. eg, for this building once every 10 minutes between 8am and 7pm every day for a year. for eg cloud formations you set your camera to take photos every 5 or 10 seconds for several hours. then you playback the photographs in film form, and voila time lapse!!!!
