Spending could NOT be cut easily. IF you think that, you just dont understand the greed of the voters. YOu just dont get it. Sure we all SAY we want it cut -- we want it cut FOR OTHERS. I'm not sure who MarkDouglasC's comment was to or who he thinks is being "blamed." His attitude seems to be that we cannot cut spending. Period. And anyone who thinks we can is deluded and unrealistic. If this is the case, then there truly is no hope, because that is like saying that ceasing to borrow more on your credit card than you can afford is "not realistic." If that is true, bankruptcy is inevitable for you -- as it is for our nation if we cannot change our ways. And soon.

I am perfectly willing to let the government keep the Social Security taxes it has taken from me if I can get out of the system. I want nothing from government except for it to get out of the way and leave me alone. Government only destroys wealth. It cannot create it. Government can only give away what it first takes away. Bush is giving out $600 in tax money to stimulate the economy. I just finished my tax return and Ron Paul's plan would give me $7336.00 to stimulate the economy. get rid of the irs sounds good. as for the income tax? what income tax? oh the one fedral employees pay on there federal earnings called WAGES? well i guess if the rest of us arenot supposse to be liable for the income tax then why should some working for the post office? that also means no tax on earnings from interest, stocks and what about non americans making money living here? should they have to pay an income tax?
