Breathing too much pure gas will stop your lungs getting the oxygen they need and you sufficate. Plus people get annoyed if they don't state that you shouldn't try a (potentially) dangerous stunt at home.

its only dangerous as an asphyxiant; meaning its only dangerous because it can take the place of oxygen in your lungs. it could only kill you if you breathed nothing but it for a while

listen to the two different sounds caused when he pulls the balloons off of the gas tanks.. why is one so much higher pitched then the other? Im not saying it was edited (helium and sulferhexafloride obviously have these effets..) but why? it makes little sense to me..

Hey...The comments are back on.WOOOO!I did that!Anyway, I must have more of that evil laugh, and what happens if a person with an already deep voice inhales some sulfur hexafloride?It would be so much awesomeness in one evil laugh.HEY!This might be how they do fantastically low voices in the movies.

The reason why he tells us not to try it at home is because there are tons of idiots who will end up suffocating themselves with helium. When breathing in helium, you don't get oxygen. Though you aren't getting oxygen, you don't feel it, so people could end up killing/ knocking themselves out. There's a reason why he took deep breaths.

he explains that when he says the sulfur hexa floride is 6x denser then air sound is going to be lower ever when it moves through a stagnant stream if the gas not just across your vocal chords

the only problem with that theory of yours is that the sound created by the balloon coming off of the tank is being propagated through regular air, before it hits the microphone. So, that couldnt be possible.
