This video shows two songs of the recent concert of India Arie on the North Sea Jazz Festival 2007.
To be honest, I did not know anything about her, but I am very pleased with this almost spiritual and tasteful performance! And I just love the first song, it's so beautiful!

This happens with almost all covers done by Hip Hop/Rap and R&B singers. =/ I must admit, this is pretty good. But it kills me when people assume that what are really covers are originals by that artist.

Do you guys know how many original songs Black artists wrote that were passed off for White artists because ofwhat the producers felt "white Society" would accept.
the R& B / Hop Hop artists arn't trying to pass the songs off as their own (notice how India.Arie gives homage to Umbrella).
