The movie has alrady been filmed but they are postponing the release for marketing purposes, mainly because of the "Dark Knight" movie's popularity. For more information just check wikipedia.

Why this is being overlooked when it is so blatantly obvious is beyond me. I guess that's how you tell just how young the fan base is. They dont know any better. Serves me right at 21 for getting into books meant for 10yr olds.
