Wow. Good comeback. Think of that all on your own, did you? No need to believe me, just check out Consumer Reports and JD Powers. VWs sit on the bottom of the quality charts. I would say that qualifies VWs as 'sucking'.

I know you don't like the facts, but you must face up to them. VWs are great cars so long as you lease and do not buy them, as they will be spending quite a bit of time in the dealer's service bay. LAst year VW spent hundreds of millions of dollars on warranty repairs. Guess who picks up the costs once the warranties run out? That's right, the poor sucker who is stuck with a lemon VW.

Isnt just VW, others like BMW and MB do this tests. they go to the deserts of USA to test the cars to the extreme temperatures. They do tests to all the components of the cars, as air conditioning, to prove the reliability of the cars. And because its the only desert in the world with good roads and extreme temperatures.

Well i will try to esplain u what u can see in JD Power! In the 2008 quality ratings study, if u make the overall quality by descending. u see in the top, Porsche and in the bottom, Jeep. And VW from the bottom to its position is in 12
º over the HUMMER and Scion, dodge saturn. From the top, VW is in 24º, and Audi is in 10º, from the top. And audi's are made with VW parts. The only diferences is the design, nothing more. Just simple like that. So go to a VW/Audi dealer and see the diferences.

I currently drive a 3 series. In the past, I owned a Golf when I lived in Germany, and leased a Passat in the States. Until VW improves their quality, I would never buy one. Lease maybe, but not own, this way I get rid of the car before it breaks and I have to pay for it. Of the 36 major brands of cars sold in the US, when it comes to reliability, VW ranks 31. That is terrible. Honda is first, and Land Rover dead least. Hey, it's a fact. VW's are nice cars that are built like crap.

And do u want to know more. Porshe cayenne and VW tuareg are made by the same factory in germany, with the same parts. Just the design and engines are diferent. So Sir, before calling someone of idiot, get a little of knowledge. And dont talk about u dont know!!!!

It is funny you mentioned the Tuareg- that is VW's least reliable vehicle. Consumer reports and JD Power says to avoid it at all costs. The CAyenne is also a piece of junk. Just more expensive. Look, I like VWs. Too bad they are so poorly made.

Well. There's nothing perfect in the world. Only nature. But VW is one of the bigest car manufacturers and of course that in the millions of cars that they make it will be some ones with problems. Only the japanese can do cars almost perfect and the manufacturers with less production. In the dependability rating of JD Power over the average there are 6 japanese cars and the others(8) are luxury. So when u buy a car isnt just by the dependability but by the quality too.

Unfortunately, I can't spend what little extra income I make twice. Meaning, the first time to buy a car, the second time to fix it. So, until VW makes a more dependable car, I am stuck with BMW's 3 series. Not a bad car, but could use a bit more Lebensraum.
