Madonna feat. Pharell - "Give It 2 Me"(Official Music Video)
Uploaded by: WhireRobe
Video Description:
The music video was filmed on April 3, 2008 in London, co-directed by fashion photographer Tom Munro and Nathan Rissman. Pharrell's part of the video was used during the performance of "Give It 2 Me" during the Hard Candy Promo Tour. The full video leaked on YouTube on May 31, 2008 but was later removed by Warner Bros. The video was officially released on Yahoo!, AOL and iTunes stores worldwide on June 4, 2008 and premiered on Channel 4 in UK on June 5, 2008. An official teaser of the video was released on June 6, 2008.[12] It also premiered on MTV's TRL on June 10, 2008.
It features Madonna singing in various back drops wearing some of the same outfits from the recent photo shoot for Elle magazine and also singing on a couch while Pharrell sings in some back drops with Madonna. Madonna also sings in a dance studio while dancing and singing in a black and white bac
k drop, similar to her Hung Up video. The visual theme and her style is that of classic late 60's/early 70's retro-chic exemplified with long loose curls, matte make-up and little to no make-up color except nudes, beiges and light rose. Her wardrobe plays up her toned body but alludes to it with she
er loose chiffon sleeves and mostly black or white in the various outfit changes. She sports a wide brimmed hat throughout most of the video, something she hasn't done that often in any of her others. The editing for this video ties in with the song in many areas with cuts and speeds. One of the int
eresting part of the video is when Pharell pretends to get stupid! and is seen pulling a bag along teh floor. Pharell reportedly carried that bag during recordings for Hard Candy and that inspired Madonna to show Pharell with the bag on the music video.Perez Hilton described the video as a hybrid of
the videos for her previous singles "Borderline", "Hung Up" and "Hollywood". The video is currently at #1 on Canadian and United Kingdom iTunes charts and #2 on the US iTunes chart. Directors: Tom Munro, Nathan Rissman Producer: Nicola Doring Director of Photography: Tom Munro Editor: Production C
